The Lovely Bones: A Novel
I thought that I would read this book before going to see the movie, the librarian stated that the opening seen was terrifying. It was good but now going thru the book, the storyteller being the murdered girl, looking down from heaven, it drags in spots. Not bad, but kind of draggy.
I read this book for my library bookclub; I had already went and saw the movie when it was nominated for an academy award, so I was already familure with the story. Reading the book, added so much to the story, there were things conveyed in Michaels mind that the movie could not interpret. I was a very good book about ilitracy, and how it affects there life! We had a very lively discussion about the impact of not being able to read!!!
