CagneyC's thoughts on "Home to Holly Springs (Father Tim, Book 1)"

I am not quite finished reading this, but am enjoying "visiting" again with Father Tim.  This book is different from the Mitford Series, in that Father Tim has gone "home" to Holly Springs, where he grew up, and is trying to tie up loose ends from his childhood, which was not as happy as his years in Mitford.  Most of the book is reminiscences of his boyhood and remembrance of past incidents and personalities.  As such, it jumps back and forth in time much more than the Mitford book.  Also, other than Cynthia and Dooley, the people in the book are all new to the reader, not the old familiar folks of Mitford.
