Fifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy—until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. Gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

It took me the longest time to read this book which when im used to reading a book in 2-3 days I found very annoying! I guess I may push myself too much when it comes to reading but I like to have goals with it, lol!

The story on a whole was very hard to get into and it wasn’t until the second part of the book, and after I had watched the movie that I felt like it was getting a little better. It was incredibly Lord of the Rings-ish. With heavy duty words for places like cities and character names. The languages are quite hard to understand too at times. There is a guide at the back for pronunciations and what the words mean but if you aren’t used to this with books, it’s not that common in the books I read, you forget it’s there.

I loved it and couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
