From popular book/lit blogger A. Yamina Collins comes a dynamic collection of short stories that portray the humor, awkwardness, and tragedy of the human condition, with a multi-ethnical cast; including a negligent father who learns the hard way that family doesn't always stick together... an African-American Anglophile with too much time on her hands and unrealistic aspirations of literary glory...and a relationship guru who discovers that first loves are hard to forget...

A. Yamina Collins's thoughts on "The Blueberry Miller Files"

Ok. I admit. This one is MY book. And I loved every minute writing it. It's a short story collection of tales about the humor, awkwardness, and tragedy of the human condition.

In Family, a negligent father learns the hard way that family doesn't always stick together...in The Dream a poem of lyrical imagery emerges... in Sensitive People  an English professor and his student girlfriend have a lot more in common with each other than mere physical attraction... In A Baseball Anecdote, a little league baseball player dreams big... in Calling Viola an African-American Anglophile with a vivid imagination has unrealistic aspirations of literary glory... in A Perfect Suitor a "Don Juan" on the bus decries the rudeness of one woman's refusal to honor his pickup lines... in Safe, set in the pre-Civil War South, one belle strives to prove she's more morally advanced than those around her...or is she?...in Random Talks with God  a brief prayer, with squirrels... in The Disillusioned, a relationship guru learns firsthand that first loves are hard to forget...
